Where can I find out more about Accutrons ?
Go to Rob Berkavicius and his The Accutron Watch Page
Another must is Tom Mister's Dashto (Dash Two) site

Again see Rob's advice his Watch Battery Primer and Battery Replacement
Where can I get my Accutron fixed ?
Don't send it back to Bulova !!! They
will replace the tuning fork movement with a quartz (yeuch) one and you
will have lost a valuable piece of horological history.
In general high street jewellers will tell you it
can't be fixed and that no parts are available WRONG ! If you are
in the UK/Europe drop me an email and I will be able to suggest a couple
of places over this side of the pond.
In the UK even if a watchmaker can help then the watch will probably be sent to a place which is stupidly expensive. You will be looking at GBP 100 + just for a service ! I made this mistake once and ended up paying GBP 160 for a service and a part which I could have sourced for a fiver ! Even then the watch was returned with a fault and had to go back a second time. Nice one Cyril I don't think.
There are alternatives however. Email me for details.
For the US and the rest of the world then here are a few alternatives.
US
John Schult's Budget Accutron Service
and in Australia The Accutron Watch Page
There are others so if you get stuck drop me a line.
